This activity focuses on the vocabulary from chapter 2 of Viking Boy and is aimed at Year 5 and Year 6 children.
In this activity, we have taken some of the lovely vocabulary and your class will complete the sentences by adding in words that would best fit.
This resource has been differentiated three ways to cater for KS2 classes. In this first resource, your class can try to find the sentences in the chapter or they can choose words of their own. If you want, your class could also use a synonym of the correct word that would also fit.

This is a comprehension resource aimed at Year 5 and Year 6 classes.
This comprehension focuses on chapter 5 of the book and asks retrieval, inference and vocabulary related questions. Your KS2 class will answer the questions as best as they can using the text and their understanding.

This resource helps your class edit an unpunctuated piece of writing by adding in the correct punctuation.
Your KS2 class will add in capital letters, full stops, commas, inverted commas, apostrophes for possession and contractions, and a question mark.
Once your kids have completed this activity, they can then compare their punctuation to the text.
