A wide range of questions techniques have been used to stretch your children to help stretch them with their comprehension skills. You must photocopy the pages from the text to help your children answer the questions.

This resource looks at the text from pages 57 and 60 to help your children with using you’re and your correctly. Your children must rewrite the passage and either replace the two original words with the you’re contraction or choose which your/you’re spelling fits in with the sentence.

This resource covers inverted commas or speech marks. Your children must either identify the inverted commas, recognise who is speaking in the dialogue or add in the inverted commas where they are needed. The resource uses text from pages 34-35 and 45-47 in The Truth Pixie book.

Your children will focus on the -ing words used in the story from pages 3-45 as well as look at other prefixes and suffixes. Your children will identify when to: – simply add ‘ing’ – drop the ‘e’ – double the consonants
