Once, in a house on Egypt Street, there lived a china rabbit named Edward Tulane. The rabbit was very pleased with himself, and for good reason: he was owned by a girl named Abilene, who treated him with the utmost care and adored him completely. And then, one day, he was lost.
Throughout his emotional journey, Edward finds himself in the hands of different individuals, who treat him very differently to Abilene.
This book introduces you to a range of characters caught up in the rush of life and fires home the message, you don’t know what you have until it’s gone.
Main Focus: Character Description
Kate DiCamillo constructs detailed character descriptions to make her characters come alive in the reader’s mind. Your children will use the sentences to create their own character descriptions.
