Howard Carter and the Curse

Would this phrase put you off from opening the tomb of King Tut? “Death Shall Come on Swift Wings To Him Who Disturbs the Peace of the King…” Well, it was 1891 when a young Englishman by the name of Howard Carter arrived in Egypt. Over the years he became convinced that there was at least one undiscovered tomb. That of the almost unknown King Tutankhamen. It is believed that he was murdered by enemies and then his successors attempted to remove his name from all the official records. In this resource your class will gain a thorough understanding of Howard Carter and his discovery. There are lots of key facts and useful information so make sure they have pen and paper with them!
