At the bottom of Syd’s garden, through the gate and past the tree, is Grandad’s house. Syd can let himself in any time he likes. But one day when Syd comes to call, Grandad isn’t in any of the usual places.

A heart-warming story for KS1 that encourages children to talk about a ‘loss’ perhaps it could be a toy, pet or even a family member. 

Main Focus: Alphabetical Order

Your Ks1 class will read the paragraph and place words into alphabetical order or choose words of their own.
